Draw & pots
The draw takes place on 27 August 2026 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. It decides who each club faces in the league phase. The 36 clubs are split into four pots based on their UEFA coefficient; every club gets eight opponents (two from each pot). When does the Champions League 2026/2027 start?
The qualifying rounds start in the summer; the league phase with the 36 clubs begins on 8 September 2026 and runs until late January 2027. You can find exact kick-off times in the betting offer.
How does the new 36-club format work?
There are no separate groups anymore. All 36 clubs sit in one table and each plays eight matches against different opponents. The top 8 go through to the round of 16, while positions 9 to 24 play a play-off round.
Can I follow the matches live?
Yes - many Champions League matches can be followed live, often with a livestream (marked by the video icon), through live football in the betting offer.
