Serie A is Italy's top football division and one of Europe's five major leagues. Twenty clubs face each other over 38 matchdays, each twice, once at home and once away. On this page we bring together the factual information around the betting offer: which markets are available, how the live offer works during a match, and how the competition is structured. For more background, see how Serie A works. Napoleon Sports holds a licence from the Belgian Gaming Commission. At the top of this page you will always find the most recent betting offer per matchday.
The most popular option is 1X2: you pick a home win (1), a draw (X) or an away win (2). With the double chance you cover two of the three possible final results in a single prediction, for example a home win or a draw. Both remain a game of chance with a real risk of loss.
There are also the goal markets, such as both teams to score (BTTS) and over/under bets. With over/under you predict whether the total number of goals will finish above or below a set line, regardless of who wins the match. If you want to go deeper, there are more specific markets such as the handicap, where a team is given a virtual head start or disadvantage, or the correct score. You can also combine several selections into a combination bet; every individual selection then has to be correct for the bet to win. No analysis or statistic predicts the outcome with certainty. The full overview per match is at the top of this page.
You do not need to place your prediction before kick-off: you can also bet live once the ball is rolling. The odds then move along with how the match develops. A red card, a goal conceded, or a team stepping up the pressure all affect the odds.
During a match, specific markets are available, such as the next goalscorer or an over/under while the action is live. The picture on the pitch can change quickly, which means live betting demands more attention than a prediction made in advance. The results and the standings show how each matchday unfolds. Set a playing limit in advance and stick to it, even when a matchday gets hectic.
You can bet on all twenty participating clubs, from title contenders such as Napoli and AC Milan to defending champion Inter Milan (21 titles) and record champion Juventus (36 titles, the highest number in Italian football history).
Serie A is played by twenty clubs who together complete 38 matchdays in a single regular league with no play-offs. The team on top after the full calendar becomes national champion. If two teams finish level on points in first place, an extra decisive match of 90 minutes with no extra time follows: if the score is still level after 90 minutes, it goes straight to penalties. At the boundary between 17th and 18th place (direct relegation), a two-legged play-off has applied since the FIGC rule change of 7 July 2023, instead of a single match, with the second leg played at the club with the better head-to-head record; the very first time this play-off was used, in June 2023, it was still played as a single match on neutral ground (Hellas Verona won 3-1 against Spezia that time). Since 26 May 2026, any play-off is also dropped entirely if a club involved plays a European final in that same period; in that case the head-to-head result applies directly. Everywhere else in the table, the head-to-head result remains the deciding factor in the event of a tie.
At the top of the table, clubs compete for the national title and for European tickets. For the 2026-2027 season, the top four places earn a Champions League ticket; how many places that is in another season depends on the UEFA access list and that year's coefficient. At the bottom, the last-placed clubs are relegated to Serie B. For the 2026-2027 season, Venezia, Frosinone and Monza are the clubs promoted from Serie B; Cremonese, Hellas Verona and Pisa were relegated after the previous season. You can find the exact club list and match dates in the full Serie A calendar.
Besides bets per match, you can also place an outright bet on how a full season will play out. Predicting the national champion is the best known, but there are also markets for top scorer and relegation. These bets run alongside the calendar: you often make your choice early in the season, after which it stays open until the outcome is final.
A full overview of these long-term markets is on the page with Serie A outright bets.
Numbers help you assess a match. The standings show the current rankings and recent form, while the statistics give details on top scorers and discipline. On Napoleon Social you exchange views with other players and see how the community reads a match.
Shared predictions on Napoleon Social are user content, not an editorial recommendation. A prediction remains a personal opinion and is no guarantee of a correct outcome. Stay critical whenever 'sure' tips turn up somewhere; they do not exist. Use data and other people's opinions as an extra reference and decide for yourself.
With the Napoleon Sports app you follow Serie A and manage your bets on your smartphone. You will find pre-match bets, live markets during the match, and outrights for the whole season, organised by matchday. The offer and available features may vary by device or version.
Through the app you can check your open bets, your balance, and the most recent results and statistics. To help manage your playing behaviour there are settings such as playing limits; which options are available depends on your account.
Napoleon Sports & Casino holds a licence from the Belgian Gaming Commission. The legal minimum age for sports betting in Belgium is 21, and this age is checked at registration.
A licensed operator works within a legal framework with player protection, including deposit limits, the option of self-exclusion, and the statutory EPIS system that restricts access for excluded players. Sports betting remains a form of entertainment, not a source of income. Set a playing limit in advance and keep an eye on the time you spend on the platform. If you notice that playing is becoming a problem, you can turn to stopoptijd.be.

Yes. While the match is under way, the odds adjust to how it unfolds. This means you can predict during the match itself, for example who scores the next goal.
